I always wanted to visit Hamburger Haven since it is located right within Chinatown 2 (Clement street). I love the American breakfast and decided to stop by first thing on Sunday morning. Arrived at opening time, 7:40 A.M. and there were ample seats available so I chose to sit at the front counter at the very front so I could watch the cooks and preppers doing their thing. I perused the menu carefully and decided on what I normally eat 90% of the time in public restaurants: ham and cheese omelet, hash browns, sourdough toast and coffee with creamer and sweet N low. The food was prepared by the time I finished my restaurant's delicious coffee. All was as expected and just as outstanding. Mission accomplished. Can now mark my first visit to Hamburger Haven as completed. I will go back when I am again in the area where I buy my Chinese pastries and dim sum.

This was fun. Old-fashioned diner with hamburgers and breakfast items. I got a hamburger with bacon cheese or so. It was $15 hamburgers. Funny..hadn't seen it and fun to try..sit around and dream of long ago. On Clement 9th and 10th.

We took a short detour from the Cross City Trail because we saw the word burger in the name. Oh man, my husband's burger was perfection from the way it was cooked down to the romaine lettuce on the side (super fresh and crisp). My chicken burger (grilled breast) was oh so delicious! The avo was fresh the bun was tasty as well. Fries and coleslaw also delish. The lack of view is made up for by the old school yet kept up (and spotless) interior. The service was super efficient. These people know what they're doing!

The food was delicious and our server was really nice. I love old school diners. The mushroom cheeseburger was huge and well seasoned. My husband enjoyed his country breakfast and coffee. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a cozy, no frills meal.

Love this no fuss 70s diner and the food is always on point! We came here for a late lunch / early dinner and looking forward to the next meal! We sat at our usual table, menus are located on the window with the condiments, our usual waiter (i don't know her name, but she wears glasses) is friendly and got us drinks while we looked over the menu. I got my usual: Denver omelette that consisted of ham, bell pepper, onions, and cheddar cheese, with hash browns and sour dough toast for $18.95 We also got to try their hamburger, which is a first for us because it's usually breakfast food we'll get. My bf got a cheeseburger with onion rings for $15.95

I remember this little jewel in the middle of San Francisco before Covid hit. Then we heard it closed. Hoping against hope that Hamburger Haven would rise again we waited. Traveling 75 miles to just sit in the once charming eatery was beyond the once anticipation of "once upon a time" with the margin of delight at reclaiming the past. Of course, we came when it was pouring rain. Running into the shop and looking down the once familiar foyer idea of two seats placements seem such a wonderful memory. The long awaited old fashioned seats and tables are gone. It's been upgraded a bit just a bitm It no longer boost the era of the late 40s. It's just a place to eat. No longer does it hold the charm it once had. The menu seems just the same. Yet, it's a sadden event now. The food is just that. Food. It holds no elegants or loved put into it. It's just a place to eat.

The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've ever had. Wasn't watered down nor overly thick. Had the perfect consistency. Put some on your fork and flip it over. It will not fall. Sausage is super tasty. Bacon had the right amount of crisp and softness. Cool counter area if you want to come by yourself or bring a group and sit in the back area.

This is an old breakfast/ diner place around the area. Serving the neighborhood. Very nice staffs. We came for breakfast on Friday, not too crowded. Family style, kids friendly. Traditional American breakfast place. Breakfast good portion. Price decent. Sometimes I feel like going to places like this better than the newly opened breakfast place which only for camera to eat and not for your taste and fulfill your stomach.

I went to Hamburger Haven with a couple friends and was pleasantly surprised by how cute it was inside. This diner is one of those old school restaurants that makes you feel like you have gone back in time. I do not really go to diners much but there is something real comforting about going to a wholesome diner. When we sat ourselves down at a table, my friend and her boyfriend ordered a Irish breakfast and Denver omelette while I ordered a California omelette with avocado, bacon, tomatoes, and jack cheese in it. I found it hilarious that my friend's boyfriend literally devoured his omelette. Yet, if you can base off how good a place is off of that, it is a pretty good sign, right? Sometimes I think the less said, the better. The omelette and hash browns, while simple, could not have been anymore solid and filling.
